Jennifer Muller / The Works

Scholarship/Apprentice Program

The Scholarship/Apprentice Program offers instruction in Muller Polarity Technique to aspiring professional dancers, while providing participants with invaluable insight into the inner workings of a professional dance company. Serving 25 artists annually, students participate free of charge in a daily two-hour (12 noon – 2 pm) technique class at The Works Studio, and in exchange, volunteer on specific projects pertaining to the administration of Jennifer Muller/The Works. The program also includes workshops in Muller's Creative Mind Technique and choreography and when possible, invitations to perform in special productions with the company. Teacher Training as well as Phrasework Workshops are offered on a rotating basis. As a professional development opportunity for young artists, the program is evaluated by the participants' growth as artists and professionals. With individualized attention, the program is tailored for each artist and provides a safe environment to learn, explore and grow.
