Sy Lu (JMTW Dancer) began his dance training at Santa Monica College, taking ballet under the direction of Charlotte Richards. He continued his training at Debbie Allen Dance Academy after receiving a full scholarship. Sy was featured in Debbie Allen's BET Christmas Special. He has performed works by a variety of choreographers, including Debbie Allen, Mia Michaels, Otis Sallid, Karen McDonald, Tyce Diorio, and Alvin Ailey. Mr. Lu recently received rave reviews in DanceNow Festival Encore, for his performance in solo "Yma Dream" choreographed by Amber Sloan. Sy has had the privilege to appear on the cover of O Magazine, BET, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, and Emmy Awards.
